Making Our Colourful Dessert

Our Playgroup children had the opportunity to make their own dessert this month. As they tried this activity, they also learnt about the different colours.

卢暘：“看！我找到大鸟了。”

研熙找不到相应的图片，卢暘指着图片，说：“研熙在这里。”

当诗琴找到大朵花时，芳菲高兴的说：“对了！”

当诗敏放不好小蜜蜂时，卢暘说：“诗敏，你的小蜜蜂要放在着里。”

芳菲放好了大青蛙，接着她又去拿起小青蛙放在小影子上。

美术《牙刷刷印画》 嗨！我们正在以牙刷作画。


伟琦，诗恬和琳妲都把手上的牙刷沾上各自喜爱的颜色，然后把牙刷刷在图画纸上。


接着，伟琦，诗恬和琳妲又在图画纸上添加了第二种不同的颜色。


伟琦看着她的图画，她说“purple”（紫色）


诗恬正看着黄色和蓝色参在一起所产生的变化。


琳妲一边刷画，一边看着红色和黄色所变成的橙色。

In one of our lesson activities for the month of March, we aimed to achieve these objectives: Children will be able to pick up things with thumb and pointer fingers. Learn the correct positions of the different parts of the face.


The first thing that the children were taught was to tear up the colour papers up into smaller pieces. Jia sheng said “I can tear!”
“So can I!" said Fang Fei and Zhi Qian.


Fang Fei tore up the coloured paper into pieces and stuffed them into the paper bag. She learnt the skill of picking up things with her thumb and pointer finger.


Another group of children used newspaper instead of coloured paper to stuff the paper bags. Ethan said “newspaper!” The other 2 children saw Ethan taking the newspaper and they too took the newspaper and stuffed it into their paper bags while saying,
"So can I!"


Cedric picked the hair up using his thumb and pointer finger to paste it up onto the yellow paper bag correctly. “ red hair !” said Cedric.


Jia Sheng chose a purple pink bag. He pasted the eyes on the face puppet correctly and said “Eyes!”


The children used the rubber bands to tie up the paper bags. They were very attentive thoughout the whole lesson.

Hi! This month, we made peanut butter balls as a class!

Ingredients needed:
- biscuits
- peanut butter
- honey

First step, use the rolling pin to crush the biscuits into crumbs.
Now, mix them with honey and peanut butter.
Then, we roll all the ingredients together to make peanut butter balls!
Our playgroup children learnt alot through this activity, one of which is scooping with our pointer fingers and thumbs!

"Honey sweet!" said Dion. "Peanut butter sticky!" said Ethan. "Biscuit crispy!" said Joshua.


Dion was scooping the mixture of biscuits, peanut butter, honey with her pointer finger and thumb.


"Let's use this rolling pin! Yeah!"


"Mmm. Honey.. honey.."


Fang Fei was adding peanut butter and saying, "Feels so hard!"


Finally! We can try our peanut butter balls!
