Guess what was the big occasion we had in the month of July?
Yes you are right! It was Racial Harmony Day!
Most of our Playgroup children were dressed in their very own ethnic costumes, and they really looked good in them!
Our Playgroup teachers had a number of activities lined up for the children. One of the activities was to dance around when the music was being played, and when it stopped, the children had to hop into the hula hoops. The game was not that easy. they had to categorize themselves into the different groups - groups according to their races. So here we have: the Chinese, the Malays, the Indians and the Burmese!
The children were yelling in excitement as they danced around with the music!
The music has stopped! Quickly get into your groups!

The next activity was called, "Guess Who?"
In this activity, children took turns to get blindfolded. Once they got themselves blindfolded, they had to walk around while the music was being played and when it stopped, they had to stop moving as well and hold on to one of their friends. They then had to guess who their friend was by touching their hair, their clothes and so on.
All of them were so cute! Even when they were not bilndfolded, they used their hands to cover their eyes and pretended that they were being blindfolded as well!
