Let's Make Banana Milkshake!

Hello! We are back now, not empty handed, but .... with a banana milkshake! How do we go about making it? Simple. Let's look at the ingredients.

You need:
- bananas
- yoghurt
- milk

Now let's look at how we made our banana milkshake!

Firstly, we peeled the banana skin.


Then, we cut the banana into slices with a plastic knife.

Then, it was time to pour our banana slices into the blender.

Hi! We are back again. This time, let us talk about Children's Day. While most of the children were having fun during the fish farm excursion, the others who were in school were having fun too! Just look at the pictures! :)

Shapes Painting

Square, circle, triangle, rectangle!
How did the playgroup children learn about these shapes?
They learnt through shapes painting!

They made use of lego blocks, dipped them into different coloured paints, and printed the shape onto their drawing paper! Impressive work!

Cookery Lesson - Making Yummy Glutinous Rice Balls

Young children learn best by doing. With this, to ensure that children are given ample opportunities to engage in their learning processes, Madam Wong conducted a lesson on how to make glutinous rice balls. The children were introduced to the coconut milk, cooked glutinous rice and the yellow sugar.

They moulded the glutinous rice into the shape of a circle and rolled the glutinous rice balls with yellow sugar.

As they were at it, they touched and could feel the glutinous rice balls. When Madam Wong asked about the texture and of the glutinous rice balls, they were able to reply, "Soft!" and "So sticky!"

The children were enjoying themselves,
rolling the glutinous rice into round shapes to make them into rice balls.


Yoke Xuan: So sticky!
Allan: I'm rolling my rice ball with yellow sugar!

Yoke Xuan: Mmmm. Smells nice...
Allan: Now my fingers feel so sticky!

In this picture, Shahira was tasting the yellow sugar . She said "Sweet!" when she was asked about the taste. Nadia was busy rolling her rice ball to get as much yellow sugar to stick onto it!

After making their very own rice balls, they could eat them.
The children really enjoyed eating the handmade glutinous rice balls.
